For this question, I needed to include video footage of some of our audience feedback. For the first part of this question, we asked 6 individuals, a mixture of male and female - members of our target audience, to view our trailer, film poster and film magazine cover. Afterwards, we would record their responses to a few questions in the form of vox pops. The video next to this summaries the overall feedback we received for our final production and ways in which we would make improvements if we had the opportunity too.
VOX POP VIDEO
![]() | As well as the feedback we received in our post production stage, myself and my group valued the views and opinions of our audience throughout the research, planning and production stages of our fim promotional package. Here is a prezi presentation that looks at the feedback we received in our research and planning, in particular from our focus group and initial film pitch. Below is a link to our 'feedback' page that has all the feedback we received from our teachers and evidence of the notes taken during our board meetings. Link - Feedback we received on our first draft for magazine cover Changes to film magazine cover In addition to this, during our research and planning, we also identified the importance of conducting focus groups in order to encourage a discussion about the possible ideas we wanted to use for our film trailer.
Here is a video of myself, discussing the outcome of our focus group and analysing the feedback we received in response to the questions we asked the audience after showing them the 3 trailers : Case 39, Paranormal Activity 4 and The Orphan. This video can also be found under my 'research' tab in Analysis of Feedback. Here is an example of a vox pop we conducted in our planning process. In the process of deciding our film title, we asked members of our target audience on their thoughts on the name "The Unseen' which was the our group were most keen to use. Recording their responses in the form of vox pops allowed us to gain valuable feedback and effectively confirmed our title choice as the most suitable and appealable to our target audience. We wanted to ensure that the film title was one that would convey our horror genre to the audience as well as relating to the film synopsis. To the left is an image of the results we received from our online poll www.polleverywhere.com where we asked members of our target audience, during our pitch, to vote, using their mobile phones for the typography of our film title that they found most effective and appealing. The chosen typography would be used for the film title font in all 3 products in order to create synergy between the products. However later on in the production process, as a group, we felt the chosen font did not work well in our products particularly on the teaser trailer. After discussing this issue, we went against using this font as it did not fit within our film image and not suitable for our products, so we decided to select another typography, asking more members of our target audience for their views. We were a lot happier with the final font that was used as it looked more bold and professional.
