Digital Technology Investigation
Digital technology refers to the use of software and hardware devices in the creation of a new media product.
The creation of a horror trailer involves a variety of technologies that will have to be used in order to produce a high quality trailer. For example, after all footage has been filmed that will be used in the trailer, the editing process of the footage will be done on Adobe Premiere Pro that allows special effects and transitions to be added onto a timeline of footage. Effects such as the speeding up of shots and fade outs to black can be used to effectively convey the horror genre of the trailer. Audio edition programmes such as Garage Band will also be a useful programme to use in the production of our own trailer if we decide to create our own audio clip.
The camera and sound equipment used are important digital technologies used in the production of a horror trailer and will be ones that we will use effectively in our production process.
