As a small production company with a limited budget for the making of the horror trailer, we have had to consider ways in which we can keep our costs low.

As we drew up our own budget, we conducted some research into the budgeting of a typical Hollywood film. For example:

- An original screenplay can cost from around $50,000 to $5million

-An A-list screenwriter can be paid $100,000 to $2 million to write a script.

-An A-list film director can command $5 to $10 million a film.

-The cost of producing the film includes crew wages, production design, live set and studio costs, costumes, catering, accommodation and transportation. The director of photography is usually the highest paid member of the crew at about $500,000 to $1 million.

In comparison, for our film, we will be working on a very limited budget so we have had to cut costs to almost nothing.

As we will be borrowing a video camera, there will be no cost for our camera footage. We have entitled the help from professional actors who are willing to work for free as our trailer will be giving them recognition as young talent. In addition to this, we will be using our own sounds and musics that we do not need rights too and free costume and make-up. Being the directors of the film, we will not have to pay anyone.

The only significant cost we may have to consider in the production is the transportation to the location.
